We are looking for the right person to fill a position to be our lead person on the planting crew. We do installation of the plants we sell, mulching, weeding and some trimming....all locally. We do not do any hardscape work or mowing.
This would be a year-round position if we find an individual that's a good fit. This person needs to be reliable, self-motivated, have a valid driver's license and be a team player with a good attitude. During the winter months, we do not do any commercial plowing. The job would consist of plowing and shoveling as needed at the garden center and maintenance/cleaning of our 10 on-site heated greenhouses January and February.
March and April would consist of helping us to plant our hanging baskets, potted plants, etc. May and June, our busiest retail months, the position may require a willingness to work 6 days/week. During this time, you'd be at the garden center helping move product or unloading shipments of plants, trees & shrubs. July thru November this person would be out on the planting crew doing installations, cleaning, and light maintenance of local properties. November and December, we sell Christmas trees and wreaths, and the job would involve helping unload Christmas trees, keeping tree displays full and assisting customers with the purchase of chosen items.
