FurEver Family Pet Services, LLC has been voted 2017’s #1 pet sitting company in Portland. We are looking for capable, trustworthy, animal loving Animal Caretakers to join our team! Seeking a part time and full time Animal Caretaker in SE, SW, NE, NW Portland and parts of Clackamas County.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must be able to handle/protect pets of all sizes and all temperaments
  • Work outside in all types of weather
  • A detail-oriented person who can follow directions is required
  • One day is different from the next (if you thrive best in a very structured environment, this job is not for you)
  • Responsible, honest, and loyal 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must own your own insured and reliable vehicle
  • Must have a smart phone or other mobile device to send and receive messages and pictures with unlimited data and texts
  • Must love both dogs and cats
  • Must be punctual, responsible, and organized
  • Must be flexible and have good time management skills
  • Must be able to provide references
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Pass a hands-on test
  • Must be neat and clean
  • Must have legible handwriting

There are physical and mental requirements for this job. Applicants must have their own vehicle. Once job is accepted there is a requirement to maintain a valid driver’s licenses, and a registered vehicle. This job has a requirement to drive.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Part time animal loving people for 15-30 hours per week. An active person able to be outside in all weather conditions. Daily dog walks are our highest need, applicants need to have availability weekdays between 10am-3pm Monday through Friday. Open to doing light cleaning. Someone who is willing to do vacation visits (drop-in), pet sitting care, early morning and evening visits. Overnight pet sitting is optional, and entails staying in the client's home for 12 hours minimum. Working hours vary depending on the day, week and month and can include any variation of hours from early AM to late PM, split shifts, overnight care and more. This position sometimes requires attending new client meetings, and meeting owners.
