The Finish Line Car Wash

We are searching for a new Strong #2 Assistant Manager to join our team.  As Assistant Manager, you will assist in making sure the team adheres to company policies, resolving customer complaints, leading the team, and organizing the team schedule.  This position will report directly to the General Manager and act as store manager when the GM is not on site.

Job Overview 

This position requires someone with exceptional people and communication skills as you will be interacting with our guests and employees directly and may have to solve any issues that arise.  You will be responsible for leading and coaching our supervisors, and maintaining an overall management style that follows company’s practices and standards.  We expect this person to take initiative when they see something that needs to be done and do it or delegate it to be done.  To be successful in this position you must be committed to taking ownership and helping the team as a whole to succeed.

 

Responsibilities and Duties   

  • Plan, schedule and adjust employee’s daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency and to meet labor goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example to motivate, develop and direct people.
  • Demonstrate ability to listen and communicate effectively, be helpful and friendly with co-workers, customers, and management.
  • Ability to assess the performance of self and employees to make improvements.
  • Strong decision making ability.
  • Ensuring quality of service in each department through proper training of our team and departments.
  • Work with GM to develop contests & other programs to motivate team members to increase sales & raise team spirit.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment or customer issues.
  • Monitor chemical usage on a weekly basis and perform monthly maintenance procedures.
  • Manage ongoing training programs to ensure staff is trained in product knowledge & operational systems and identify future leaders.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers whenever necessary.
  • Work directly with the GM and support them while learning our business.
  • Complete tasks assigned by GM accurately and efficiently.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written comprehension and communication skills
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment & are consistently looking for ways to think outside-the-box.
  • Work directly with Management team and support them while learning our business
  • Proven ability to manage staff to exceed sales goals
  • Attention to Quality and Details
  • Strong communication skills & ability to organize & lead a team to achieve sales goals
  • Enjoys motivating team members by promoting and coaching to increase productivity
  • Must be able to be mobile on the production line for extended periods of time.
  • Min. 3 yrs. management or 4 yr. college degree
  • Military experience a plus
