Ellipse Global specializes in logistics support, emergency response, contingency planning and equipment design. We are looking for an experienced Purchasing and Operations Manager to support the Logistics and Operations team in our Monroe, WA office. We are looking for someone who is energetic, self-motivated, with a proven ability to build strong working relationships inside and outside the company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop systems to evaluate vendor quotes that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service
  • Recruit and maintain suppliers that provide high quality products and services at the best price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct
  • Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications
  • Oversee all activities related to procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase through delivery
  • Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance/readiness records of vehicles and assets
  • Responsible for DOT compliance of Drug Testing for drivers with CDL
  • Prepare and submit forms and registrations to Department of Transportation to ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation regulations
  • Process log books and trip reports from CDL drivers and submits to processing agent
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures including DOT and OSHA
  • Proactively identify, vet and manage vendor partners
  • Travel to large jobsites to support and manage projects
  • Other duties as assigned



  • At least 5 years related experience with proven leadership capabilities; experience leading cross functional teams required
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work on call hours in order to respond to emergency/disaster related request and travel up to 50%
  • Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and solve operational issues by implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain open and effective communications within work groups
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
