VetPride Services is currently hiring for a valet jobsite at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center located at 1481 W 10th St, Indianapolis, IN 46202. We are in need of four (4) full-time staff positions. This contract will provide free valet parking for veterans and customers of the VA hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Greet all valet customers in a professional manner upon their arrival, open doors, assist customer as needed with wheelchair or walker. Always be helpful and give directions as needed.
• Perform access control responsibilities for the valet area.
• Drive various types of vehicles to and from specific location in valet parking lot in a safe manner.
• Closely inspect all vehicles for any damage and record any findings on valet ticket.
• Secure all vehicles by locking car and return valet key tag and keys to valet podium box.
• Follow safe driving procedures and safety protocol at all times.
• Abide by all rules and regulations set by the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
• All valet attendants will be required to report to work in company issued uniform, and professional personal hygiene and appearance is expected at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Applicant must have the ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
• Possess and maintain a valid state issued driver license
• Will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background and DMV check
• All valet attendants must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Regularly work outdoors in inclement weather including rain, snow, heat and cold
• Strong customer service skill and be able to respond calmly and professionally when handling conflict
• Consistent attendance and reliability is a requirement
• Ability to understand and speak basic English in order to communicate with valet customers and co-workers
• Regularly stand for long periods (6-8 hours) and walk quickly
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Must have the ability to work independently and within established guidelines, follow directions, and work well with others

Required experience:

• Driving manual and automatic transmission: 1 year

 Required license or certification:

• Valid/Current Driver’s License

Employment Type:

• Full-Time and Part time
• Mon-Fri; between 7:00am-5:00pm
