Drivers must be able to drive a box truck and work independently to collect bags of used clothing from outdoor collection bins and collection partners like thrift stores and schools. Summary Description
Drivers should be courteous, friendly and be able to deliver excellent customer service to passengers. Drivers must assist passengers getting in and out of the vehicle, and load and unload passengers in wheelchairs. Drivers must transport passengers to and from their destinations in a safe manner.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Drivers must perform: a pre-trip vehicle inspection on all vehicles assigned for the shift; perform a pre-trip inspection on all equipment such as wheelchair tie-down equipment, vehicle hydraulic wheelchair lift, and others. Ensure all safety regulations and precautions are followed as required by Federal safety regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures. Communicate with local management team, passengers, company dispatch regarding operational issues or concerns. Prepare and submit daily driver’s log(s) and vehicle inspection report(s) at end of their shift.
