In search of security guards to fill a variety of positions both armed and unarmed. As a security guard your focus will be the utmost safety and security of our clients. In addition you will be expected to detect possible trespassing, theft, damage and sabotage. You will be required to control access to restricted areas through use of identification cards, badges, records, verbal questioning and other means. One year of experience is required for unarmed security guards. CPR certification and basic first aid must be completed and certification must be up to date. All guards must be physically fit and able to stand a 12-hour shift, conduct walking patrols, and pass thorough drug screening. In addition to the aforementioned requirements, armed security guards must have completed the Ohio 20-hour armed guard certification and have a current permit to carry. Armed guards must be prior military or law enforcement or have 5 years of experience as an armed guard. Leadership positions available for those with prior military or prior law enforcement experience. Security guards will work shift work hours which may be subject to change. Hours may fluctuate and will include weekends, holidays, evenings and nights. Guards must be willing to travel and spend long periods of time away from family. This job is a 12 hour a day, 7 day a week, job that will span 90 days, followed by 30 days off. Much of the work of a security guard is conducted outside and exposure to inclement weather is possible. Guards must be able to maintain their composure in all situations and conduct themselves in a professional manner. NOTE: This position is subject to the Lautenberg amendment to the gun control act of 1968 which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition. Therefore, as a condition of employment, all armed guards selected will be required to sign a form acknowledging understanding of this provision and pass a background check. Other Requirements: You will be required to provide proof of CPR certification and U.S. Citizenship. You must maintain a valid driver’s license and a bank account for direct deposit of pay. All guards will be required to wear a prescribed uniform.
